Monochromatic Peaches Photoshoot

September 01, 2021

Hi Bellas,

I'm back with photos from another Liquid Magazine shoot.  The theme was a peach monochromatic look to celebrate August as National Peach Month.  Myself and our graduating students all gave different takes on their peach looks.  I love this color palette as I think the colors flatter any skin tone.  Check it out!

In these blog posts I like to break down the makeup and any learning lessons for any potential students or new MUAs who want to learn.

My first task was complexion.  My model had dehydrated skin with some flaky patches which is one of the most difficult types to work with.  I hydrated her with dewy mists, serum and moisturizer.  Then I went in with mainly liquid and cream complexion products - foundation, blush, highlighter.  I waited to set it with powder at the very end as to not dry up her dewy finish.

Onto eyes - my model had hooded eyes so I decided to focus on more of a winged eyeshadow and smokey lash line.  I used a variety of warm peachy brown tones to create a gradiant smokey eye.

Next I coordinated the cheek and lip colors in peachy tones to complement the look.  Monochromatic looks are not only easy to do but they look so effortless and chic.  Matching is in! This look would work on any skin tone, just go lighter or deeper with the orange tone to suit the model.

Hope you guys enjoyed this makeup breakdown.  See you on the next post!
